Please have your credit card ready for payment! No other payment options are available.
1) Deadlines:
Early registration: April 28 – June 15, 2025 (23:59 pm, AoE)
Late registration: June 16 – July 15, 2025 (23:59 pm, AoE)
Onsite registration: July 16 – August 22, 2025 (noon, EDT), Montreal AND August 29 – August 31 (noon, CST), Guangzhou
2) General Information
- One regular delegate registration for the main conference per each accepted paper is required. The registered author has to attend and present the paper. If more than one author attends, then each author must register separately. Should none of the authors be able to attend in Montreal, they must present in Guangzhou! No virtual/hybrid options are available for presentations and IJCAI deserves the right to remove papers not presented in-person from the Conference Proceedings.

- Main conference regular delegate registration fee includes one opening reception ticket, one banquet ticket and free tutorials in Montreal and the joint social event and tutorials in Guangzhou
- Main student registration fee includes one opening reception ticket, one student reception ticket and free tutorials in Montreal and the joint social event and tutorials in Guangzhou.
- Additional tickets for social events can be purchased at time of registration (see bottom of this page).
- Letter of Invitation for Visa (Canada OR China) can be obtained at time of registration. You can select and fill out the applicable visa form under “Options” in the registration system. Have your passport ready! Delegates whose visa to Canada is not approved will have a chance to obtain an invitation letter for a Chinese visa, subsequently.
- A letter of invitation for administrative purposes will be sent to each delegate together with registration confirmation.
- Workshop/Symposia and/or tutorials only registrations DO NOT include social events!
2.1 Students
- Students will be required to upload proof of their student status at time of registration. Proof of status will be verified by IJCAI. Only after the status verification is completed, the student registration will become final!
- Student ID’s without clear dates of validity, webpage screenshots and unofficial records will NOT be accepted as proof! Validity of proof must overlap with conference dates.
- Acceptable proof of student status MUST be clearly readable in English language, contain the name of the candidate and the dates of validity. Proof containing a verification code must not fail verification.
- PostDocs don’t qualify for student discount!

should not register and pay BEFORE the notification from the Volunteers’ Chairs, otherwise processing fee of USD 100 shall apply!
2.2 Locations
IJCAI 2025 is one conference being held in two locations: Montreal, Canada and Guangzhou, China. One registration fee applies to both locations, no additional fees shall apply.

3) Membership
IJCAI has been a membership organization pursuant to its by-laws since 1969 but is now pleased to announce that our Membership Program is being officially re-launched. This year, all conference registrants will be offered 3-year membership with their registration to the main conference free of any additional charges. Registrants may opt in or out at time of registration. Membership will entitle you to discounts on future conference registrations and additional benefits from 2026 onward. After closure of IJCAI-25 conference registration, you will be able to join for USD 50/year fee for regular delegates or USD 25/year fee for students. More information on how to join at a later stage will be available on ijcai.org after the conference.
